This meter task card sort helps students recognize durations and how they fit into each meter or time signature. 40 task cards with standard notation rhythms are included. Students read the rhythms on each card and sort them into the correct meter stack.

 

As an extension activity, students can play each of the rhythms on instruments or write them on a separate page to practice writing rhythms.
